The pH levels in our body greatly affect our health and well-being. pH is (potential hydrogen) measures the hydrogen-ion concentration of a substance. The higher the pH reading, the more alkaline and oxygen-rich the substance is. The lower the pH, the more acidic and oxygen-deprived it is.

The relationship between an acidic body and sickness and disease is known as acidosis. Many foods we eat are toxic and eating these foods can cause our bodies to become acidic during and after digestion.

Last year there were over $100 billion worth of anti-aging products sold. Most of these products are quick-fixes that don't address underlying health issues that may cause premature aging, one of which is an imbalanced pH level.

An upset stomach is often thought to have too much acid but this is usually untrue. The stomach is the one part of the body that should be quite acidic. However, an acidic pH level does not create smooth digestion. In fact, digestion will often slow down, increasing likelihood of "acid reflux" or other indigestion issues.
